OUT OF THE DUST OF AGES

The lush grasslands of Lewa Downs in Kenya brought us face to face with these relics of the past.  Forgotten, by evolution?  I don’t think so!  The cumbersome bodies of the Whyte Rhinos fairly glow from freedom of the bush.  Named for the wide (whyte) mouth designed for grazing, their color can actually be quite dark.  Their prehistoric appearance seems perfectly suited for their environment.
